Benefits of a generator sitemap
Generator sitemap programs can be downloaded from various sources on the Internet. Generator sitemap programs have two fundamental purposes. Generator sitemap programs help surfers navigate a site effectively. At the same time, a generator sitemap program encourages search engine spiders. Google offers one of the most popular generator sitemap programs ever to hit the Internet.
The generator sitemap of google makes it possible for a website to get listed and get updated by the google search engine. Setting up the generator sitemap helps speed up the addition of the web pages of a site to the google listing. The generator sitemap also makes it easier for a site to get noticed by online surfers. In addition, any changes made to a website that has a generator sitemap is immediately picked up by google. The generator sitemap also helps keep online information fresh and up-to-date for users.
Visibility is key to generator sitemap
Visibility is a major concern when using a generator sitemap. A website that is completely indexed has better chances of getting top search engine placement in page results. Many of the popular browsers used by searchers and that support java recognize generator sitemap programs. These include firefox and Internet explorer.
An online consumer that searches for a specific content on the web can immediately be directed to any one of the web pages of a particular site. The generator sitemap makes it easier for a search engine to provide accurate results from web pages they are familiar with.
Who can benefit from a generator sitemap?
A generator sitemap is highly recommended for websites that often do repeated modification of their web pages. A generator sitemap can be used for websites of any size, regardless of the number of web pages a site may contain.
Although using a generator sitemap is not a guarantee of increased site rankings, it does however provide a website a better opportunity of getting listed on a search engine.
Working with a generator sitemap
Most of the available generator sitemap programs available on the web make use of extensible markup language or XML. Similar to hypertext markup language or HTML, XML is used widely in blogs and syndicated feeds on the Internet. Each line of a XML code for a generator sitemap has a specific purpose.
The location or <.loc> identifies the name of the web page of a website. The line <.lastmod> indicates when the web page was last modified. The format for <.lastmod> can either be dd.mm.yyyy, dd.mm.yyyy hh:mm, dd/mm/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm. Shortcuts can also be used to simply the assignment of dates to the cell.
<.changefreq> advises the search engine of a specific time frame when the web page is regularly updated. This can either be done on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis. For web pages that are not updated, the value ‘never’ is used. <.priority> indicates the level of priority that a search engine should give a particular web page of a website. These levels range from 0.0 for least priority to 1.0 for high priority.
Creating a dynamic generator sitemap
Creating a dynamic generator sitemap is useful for websites containing various web pages. The google search engine makes it easy for users to adapt their google sitemap with the help of a python script.
The python script generates a sitemap using sitemap protocol. This creates a sitemap from either access logs, URL lists or from web server directories.
Tips for using a generator sitemap from google
As one of more popular search engines offering a generator sitemap for websites on the Internet, google offers a few tips for its loyal users. Using the google sitemap url encoder/decoder is helpful for submitting sitemaps to google. For websites that have numerous web pages, creating a sitemap can be a tremendous task. For this situation it is best to click on the column title in order to make it easier for a URL list to get sorted.
The google generator sitemap allows users to save their settings after creating a sitemap. Users can use these saved settings as a guideline for succeeding generator sitemap updates. The generator sitemap also recognizes the use of robots.txt files.
Using a generator sitemap is a positive move in getting top ranking on the Internet’s top search engines as well as high visibility among online users.

Good links will also ensure you that spiders will locate your web site easily each week. This will make your site indexed by the important search engines online. This will also avoid your site from being dropped.
However, HTML site maps may serve more important purpose than merely as another link to click on. The specific purpose you should consider in having a site map is to make it easier for search engine robots to crawl your web site. Pages are located by search engines through crawling. It is a process that goes through the index of a page, following the links and adding the pages to the database.
The problem would come in when search engines fail to locate the page because links are not that accessible. It is the site map that will address this dilemma. Search engines will be given access to the different links in your web site simply by following the site map in your home page.

6. Each of the contents in your site map must have a hyperlink to its respective URL.
7. If you will have to give way to numerous links, you can make use of several pages. You could numbers each site-map page or you could also make use of the contents in naming each site-map.

List building is actually a rather round about way of promoting. The reason is that you actually have to do some promoting FIRST to get people to join your list. But once you’ve done that part, advertising to people in your list is one of the most POWERFUL forms of promotion that there is.
Because list building is so complex, there is no way I can possibly go into every aspect of list building in this book but I will at least give you the basics so that you can get started.
Ultimately, this is what you want to happen. You want to offer something to somebody absolutely FREE for joining your list. You have to make the offer so enticing that they’d be a fool to pass it up. After you have done this, the rest is simply gaining their trust.
How do you do that?
Simple. You earn it.
How?
By NOT selling to them.
No, that’s NOT a typo. When you get somebody into your list the only thing you want to do for a long time is give them information. It doesn’t matter what your product or service is. You’re the expert on it. So send them articles they can read. Don’t inundate them with emails everyday but send them maybe 1 or 2 a week. Keep in contact with them. Keep providing them with info. Eventually they will have a lot of trust in your word.
Once you’ve gotten their trust, you can slowly begin to offer them things. Make sure you point out how these things can help them. Always show the people in your list that you’re looking out for THEIR wellbeing.
Does it take time to build this kind of trust? Yes. Today, most people on the Internet are very skeptical about everything and everyone. So you have to work very hard to gain their trust.
Getting them into your list is the first step.
So, just how do you go about doing this?
Well, it will help if you have your own site. If you do, and you get somebody to visit it through the other forms of advertising mentioned in this book, what you want to do is have a lead capture page where people can sign up for your list.
You’re probably thinking, why? If they’re already at my site, why do I need them to join my list?
The answer is this. Most people need to see a site 7 times before they buy. But if you offer them something at your site for FREE simply just for joining your list, they’re quite likely to do this, even if they’re not ready to buy. This way, you have plenty of time to convert them into a buyer by offering them freebies and a lot of information.
Okay, now we get to the logistics of actually KEEPING a list.
At first, this isn’t hard when you only have a few people to email. Removal requests are pretty easy to handle. But what happens when you’ve got a few hundred people in your list? I have 2 lists at the moment. One has 367 people and the other has 223 people. Think I want to handle emailing these people myself?
Not a chance in heck.
The auto responder to the rescue.
Auto responders are another one of those things that I could give you a whole course on, but we’ll just keep this very basic.
An auto responder is an email service that will opt people into your list and handle unsubscribe requests when they ask for them.
That is the simple explanation to what an auto responder is and what it does.
Having said that, there are a ton of autoresponder services out there. On of the most popular, and for good reason, is this one.
http://www.getresponse.com/
If you get it for a whole year, which I recommend, you get 70% off the price which is just insane. Comes out to about $12 a month. It’s probably one of the best values on the Internet. You don’t have to worry about spam complaints and you don’t have to worry about your emails NOT being delivered. Get Response takes care of everything. All you do is put in your message, set it for when you want it to go out and they mail it for you.
Like it or not, you can’t effectively build your list without an auto responder.
Having said that, because list building is really an indirect way of promoting your products and services, it’s hard to give it a rating that’s fair. You’re relying on other methods to even GET a list built. Then you have to hope that the people on your list are receptive to your offers after they’ve gotten all the free stuff.

My Blog Log Traffic Tips
There are a lot of people generating a ton of traffic with MyBlogLog. In fact, I was shocked at how much traffic I have generated in a short amount of time just from this one website alone.
These are people who buy my products, read my articles, post comments and spend some time at my blog. With a lot of other social community services, while you can easily generate a ton of traffic in just a few hours, for the most part the traffic remains for only a few minutes before surfing onto the next blog.
That kind of traffic doesn’t yield feasible results.
When I first started using MyBlogLog (a service of Yahoo), I joined with the simple intention of just checking it out, I really wasn’t expecting any miracle traffic nor was I planning on becoming a daily active user.
When I started exploring the community however, I was surprised at how user-friendly their interface is and how cleverly designed the entire system is. In fact, MyBlogLog has created the program to literally push users to your blog and help you generate traffic. They motivate their community members to browse the websites of one another and unlike StumbleUpon, a lot of the visitors to your blog aren’t there just to “exchange” traffic with you, they are truly interested in what you have to offer.
For instance, when I placed my very first “paid” product on my blog, I received 6 sales the very first day, and this is with only having a community of about 60 users at the time!
I couldn’t believe it, I had never sold a darn thing with Squidoo, and had never generated nowhere near this much traffic with any of the other communities so heavily promoted in the marketing industry. While six sales isn’t anything worth opening a bottle of champagne over, it was a clear indicator that MyBlogLog can do more than just send a handful of visitors to my blog or website.
I have created a step-by-step blueprint that will help you generate traffic:
Here is exactly how to do it:
Step One:
Create your MyBlogLog community account by visiting: http://www.MyBlogLog.com
You simply choose a username, select a password, enter in your email address and the URL of your blog.

Step Two:
Spend some time creating your profile, this is really important. Be sure to upload an image or avatar to personalize your page, and fill in as much information as you are willing to provide. This way, fellow mybloglog users who join your community or add you to their contact list can get to know you and exactly what you are offering.
If you would like to add your information to your blog, MyBlogLog offers an “About Me” widget that makes it easy to add a box to your website that features brief information from your profile.
Click on the “About Me Widget” link from the top navigation bar if you wish to utilize this feature.
Step Three:
Claim Your Blogs; In order to claim your blog and feature it via your MyBlogLog profile, you will need to choose from one of two methods, directing accessing your blog by entering in your username and password or by placing a snippet of code on your blog. (this code is provided to you by MyBlogLog).
Click on “Add Site/Blog I Author” to begin the claim process.

You will need to enter in a bit of information about your website or blog such as your blog name, the URL, whether it contains adult content or not, and a brief site description.
Once you have entered in your information, the next page will provide a summary of your details and ask that you select your blog platform. (such as WordPress, etc).
After you have claimed your blog, it will appear under your profile and is visible to those who visit your page.
In addition, both you and your website not have communities that are also visible to MyBlogLog members.
You can easily add friends and talk with them via the site’s community or through posting messages that appear on their MyBlogLog’s ‘shout box’ wall.

Step Four:
In order to show recent visitors to your blog you will need to implement the “MyBlogLog” widget. Visit your profile page and click on “Get Widgets” to load up the “Recent Readers” Widget Code.
This widget will display the most recent visitors to your blog, with a link to their MyBlogLog profile page. This will encourage community members to visit your blog frequently.
You can customize the color scheme of the “Recent Readers” widget box to match the style or theme of your blog.
Once you have filled in your details and customized the widget you will be see a code box. Simply cut and paste this code into the sidebar.php file of your blog template theme.
(or wherever you would like the widget to appear).
Good work! Now visitors to your blog will be showcased and when you visit other people’s blogs you will appear in their “Recent Visitors” widget box as well!
